Now Everyone Can Be ‘Easy To Buy From’!

01Sep Now Everyone Can Be ‘Easy To Buy From’!

Payleven£42 billion is spent on debit or credit card in Britain every month, and it’s clear that many businesses are missing out on this. Why? A key factor is that they don’t take electronic payments! The result is that they are not ‘easy to buy from’!

There’s an argument that this is no longer an ‘excuse’ as that ‘barrier’ has now been broken by a number of innovative cost effective solutions that allow businesses to take electronic payments from their customers!

I blogged last year about Square, which is an innovative product from Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, which has been leading the way. Now there’s Payleven which is a simple chip and pen card reader that links via Bluetooth to your iPhone or iPad. It seems to make economic sense too – you only get charged once you get paid, with a fee of 2.75% per transaction. and there’s no contractual lock-in or minimum revenue requirement. World Pay charges 1.75% for a similar system.

Being easy to buy from is an ingredient of 3D Characteristic #4 Create ‘Delighted’ And ‘Devoted’ Customers and this new technology will make that be more achievable for lots more businesses. It certainly seems to be the way to go – it’s the way customers are going! A report from McKinsey forecasts that $31 billion will be spent on non-digital goods by mobile phones by 2016 – what are you doing to make sure that your businesses is not missing out?

Technologies like this increase customer expectations – they think ‘if others can do this, why can’t you?’

So,  how ‘easy’ are you to buy from? How can you become easier?
