03Oct Standing In Their Own Queues!

Just been speaking to the team at Business Link Tyne & Wear, and they are taking some of their own medicine this week (National Customer Service Week by the way!). As well as seeing the Chief Exec manning the telephones on reception as part of a ‘back to basics’ initiative, the senior management team will be ‘applying for funding’ this week by putting themselves in the shoes of their clients and working through their application forms .

It’s a great example of ‘standing in your own queues’ whereby you look at your business from your customers’ point of view. So why not follow their example? Ring up your own business, revisit your website, sit in your reception, or request some sales information from your marketing department.

How do you measure up? alternatively, get someone else to do it for you and ask for their feedback.
